Nintendo misses the ball again…

Posted on Thursday 9 February 2006 Joey Primiani

Insider photos of the “new” Nintendo DS Lite. The cheap appearance and buttons makes this look like it was made in the 90’s.

Nintendo is planning to launch this in late spring according to recent reports. Who is Nintendo impressing lately?

    There are a lot more photos of DS-L online now and it appears to look better than this (very accurate) mockup. Even it remains plastic-y like its predecessor that doesn’t mean it wont sell:
    * It does look better™
    * I can see several important usability/ergonomics improvements.
    * The screens are allegedly brighter and have a brightness adjustment as well.

    PSP still looks much better appearance-wise, but I haven’t touched mine in months … last time I did it asked me to set the clock. Gameplay on NDS is just so much better than what is currently available (and what I have seen in the pipeline) for PSP.
