We have one of those 160 degree monitors at my uni and I was using it the other day. Unfortunately, as everything in computing is designed for a square display when using normal applications (and games) you have to either cut the corners of the screen off or not use it full screen. The image also distorts when it curves at the edges. This really distracts from the experience.

There are some movies that have been designed specifically for it, such as the ones you can see above and these do offer a great experience. But you can't simply plug in half life 2 and play i'm afraid, it just looks odd.

Wow, that 160-degree monitor would be amazing. As much as I use the computer now, if I had one of those, I'd probably never move again. I'd have to get a minifridge for the office so I wouldn't starve.

[...] Have you ever dreamed of having your own personal Richard there to help with computer problems or the chores? How about as a cook? I don’t know how, but that’s the beauty of it. I’ll take classes just so I can cook you meals. And what is the price of this, you ask? Not that much. :) [...]
