Cheat at Minesweeper

Minesweeper

Whether you love or hate the game, its on most every Windows computer. This cheat will tell you where the mines are and make you look like a pro to impress your friends. Launch Minesweeper, and while the window is open enter in xyzzy on the keyboard and push Shift and Enter at the same time. Move your pointer over a square with a hidden mine will result in a very small black pixel appearing in the top left corner of the screen.

Safe!
Bomb!

You won’t be able to use this code for Windows ME but it works great in XP. Enjoy!

Where do you see the pixel? You must see your wallpaper and try left shift and enter if it doesn’t work.

This used to be around in Windows 3.1 but was taken out of other Windows versions in exchange for the “stop the clock” minesweeper cheat. Another Windows game cheat is for freecell (that works on every Windows version I’ve tried). Start a new game and hit [ctrl], [shift], [F10]. Choose “abort”. Double click on any card, and it will send everything up into the stacks and declare you the winner.

Type xyzzy and hold control (left). The top left pixel will be white on no mine, and black on a mine. (its at the top left of your screen, NOT the minesweeper application)

The cheat does work. When the minesweaper window is selected, type xyzzy, then hit shift and enter at the same time (no need to hold down). Now you should see the black or white pixel in the top left corner of the screen…NOT THE MINESWEAPER WINDOW. If you have a black background colour the pixel wont show up…this may be why the cheat isn’t working for some people…change it to white or another light colour. When you hover over a square, a small black pixel means there is a mine and white means its safe. Hope this is clear.
